Taking Sacramento State Athletics to the next level by joining the PAC-12 Athletic Conference as a FBS school.

Who is the SAC12 Committee?

SAC12 is led by a prestigious group of business, labor, and civic leaders, as well as notable alumni from Sacramento State University. The organization is dedicated to taking Sacramento State Athletics to the next level by joining the PAC-12 Athletic Conference as a FBS school. The Sacramento State Hornets, currently members of the Big Sky Conference, won seven conference championships in 2023, and with a student population of over 30,000, are the fourth largest university in the Cal State system. Sacramento is in the 20th largest media market in the country with a TV household population of 1,379,770. If added to the PAC-12, Sacramento would make up the largest media market in the PAC-12 conference.

The Pathway to the PAC 12 

  1. Secure $50M in NIL commitments for the cover the first 10 years in the PAC 12.
  2. Secure funding and approvals to build a Football Stadium that seats at least 25K attendees.
  3. Secure funding and approvals to build a basketball arena that can seat at least 6K attendees.
  4. Turn out at least 15K attendees per home football game for the remainder of the season.
  5. Secure $5.25M in Conference Fees for NCAA re-alignment into the PAC 12.
